The Munce Family: Spring is (barely) in the air.

The (sort of) spring weather has brought lots of fun, between Easter prep and celebrations, birthdays, soccer, wiggly teeth and karate- there's hardly any downtime.

We did Easter egg crafts with Isaac and Anna and had fun trying out new techniques, making an absolute disaster of the house. Maggie and I were even able to get a twenty minute walk in post egg decorating while Isaac watched the rest of the kids- now that is a bright light at the end of our tunnel! We followed that up with a downtown Easter scavenger hunt the following day- it was a really fun, although it was so unseasonably cold that it was almost hard to enjoy ourselves. We were so happy to have the big stroller along as the kids all ended up snuggled in at the end.

Amidst all of the Easter fun- Sully lost his first tooth! It was as wiggly as could be on Friday evening and he finally mustered up the courage to let me give it a tug, and it popped right out. He couldn't believe it and couldn't wait to see what the tooth fairy would bring. Much to his delight, he came running in the following morning with a dollar bill and some mini M&Ms, Greta was so sad and asked how much longer we would have to wait for her turn. And I've proceeded to wiggle her teeth about weekly to see what kind of progress we are making (none).

Greta started soccer this week as well, although the weather has been terrible, only allowing us one practice, and everything else has cancelled - snow in April really messes things up. Her first lesson was a disaster, she wants me to hold her hand and help her every single second. I'd find a way to sneak away from her for a few minutes and she would come after me crying. Needless to say, I am 'that mom' on the field.

We had a full and fun Easter on the farm, we continue the tradition of heading out to the Willards for brunch followed by an Easter egg hunt, The kids and adults have an enjoyable time- we truly look forward to it each year. We had an extra special Easter this year as we also celebrated Isaac's 10th birthday- I can't believe how grown up he is, fortunately, he is still the sweetest kid.

Greta and I took Sully to kindergarten round-up last week. Uff-ta, this mama is so ready, but so scared and nervous. We are doing Spanish Immersion, which we are excited to be a part of (we had to enter into a lottery which worked in our favor). We walked into the rooms and the teachers exclusively spoke Spanish. Sully would look back to me looking for guidance and I was dumbfounded. He warmed up and proudly showed one of the teachers how he could count to 10 in Spanish. Greta is so proud to be the little sister. When we left he asked how much longer before he gets to start. Fingers crossed that enthusiasm lasts until the Fall xx.

Last, but not least, we started karate. The first go around was a disaster for Greta, but Sully loved every second of it. I was able to convince her to give it a go the second time around, fortunately she loved it. We are excited to see where this journey takes us.
