Greta Graduates(!)/ Last Day of School

We are so proud of how far Greta has come, she went from being the most timid kindergartner to a thriving fifth grader with a great little group of friends, and part of the Lobos Leaders. She is happy, funny, responsible, and caring, I love being with her. She is so excited for middle school next year and I think she will thrive.

In the same week, we wrapped up 6th for Sully and 3rd for Piper. Everyone had great years, Sully had extreme growth, starting out shaky and finishing with strong with good grades and an excellent attitude. He runs with his squad of boys and they have the most fun together. Piper was challenged this year with high expectations from her teacher and she met the challenge with sass. She has a great social life, most days I find little scraps of paper in her backpack with things written like "Sara's number, xxxxxxxxxx, Jill's mom (for future playdates)." I wonder how many kids have my phone number :).

We are thankful for our community and for how they meet the needs of each of our kids and how they all thrive in their own ways and in their own time. Bring on summer!

Loons Weekend

We had the most fun with friends at the Loons game in Minneapolis over the weekend. Six soccer families coordinated the weekend (thanks to Katie), we stayed at the Mall of America and the kids swam, ran the halls, rode the rides, screwed around, got into trouble, and watched the Loons win while the parents let them run the show, and made their own connections and memories. There were loads of kids, everyone fit just right and it was just the best. I realize it may never happen again, but I sure hope it does.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a lovely and full Mother's Day Weekend, we did our annual Avera Race Against Cancer 5k, but this year, our whole family participated which was really fun. The weather was amazing, and the community feeling is really what its all about. After, the girls and I went to a few grad parties and to Sephora while Dave and Sully (and Jeff and Anna) went to a Loons game to see them play against Messi(!!), followed by a Twins game.

Sunday morning was lovely, the girls made me a modified breakfast in bed, we went to have coffee with my mom before Dave and Sully returned from Mpls. I worked in the yard for awhile, took a nap, and we went for dinner at Inca. Win win!

I'm so thankful for my family and out tight little connections, grateful for my amazing mama, and for my sis.

Alice in Wonderland

Greta made her Spotlight debut as a Blue Flower in the their spring performance of Alice in Wonderland. After seeing Piper in a couple of performances, she finally mustered up enough courage to try out, and she was so happy she did, she had the best experience. She started rehearsals in February and the performances were the first weekend in May, so she was busy in a great way. We all loved the songs and dances and were literally bursting (tears streaming down my cheeks) with pride. We love her so much. A great big Thank You!!! to friends and family who came to support here, it means so much to all of us.
