We took a quick trip (48 hours) to Chicago to meet up with some of my college friends and their families. Leanne, Stacy, Jill, and I loved getting the kids together. We arrived in time for a low key pizza dinner followed by wine on the patio for the college gals. We walked over to Lake Michigan on Saturday morning with coffees and strolled while the kids explored and returned in time to walk over to an afternoon Cubs vs Reds game. It was so exciting, like a home run derby with the Cubs winning 17 to 5, what a game! We had Chicago dogs and had lots of fun cheering. We finished off the day by attending Jill's block party with food truck food, a DJ, cocktails and finally, wine on Jill's patio. Being with my college girls is always my favorite place to be. Everyone had a lovely time, the kids even started their own "Chicago Dog" group chat, and my heart was full. Until next time!
